This CNC retrofit kit includes the CNC electronics
and CNC software you need to complete a CNC control
installation. Typical applications are retrofits for
old outdated CNC controls such as the Anilam Crusader,
Allen Bradley and Fanuc controls on a wide range of
lathes.
The Lathe kit includes programmable spindle speed control
(“S” Function) and constant surface speed
support. Constant surface speed means you simply set
a chip load for a particular tool, and no matter what
radius you're cutting at, the control automatically adjusts
the spindle speed to compensate. The end result is superior
surface finishes and extended tool life. In addition,
the AjaxCNC lathe kit supports dual handwheel operation
for part setup and manual machining.
Tool turrets, tail stocks, and other accessories can be controlled by programming the built
in PLC.
You can even use this Lathe kit with your original
servomotors and power supplies. If you don’t have
servomotors, no problem! AjaxCNC stocks a wide range
of CNC Components to
complete any retrofit.

| This retrofit package
is ideal for a lathe with quality, DC servomotors. It
allows you to reuse the standard components like contactors
and fuses, but will save you hundreds of dollars by
reusing the motors already on the machine. You’ll
also save money by reusing the motor transformer, which
is already perfectly matched to your motors. The new
2000 line encoders will dramatically improve the overall
performance of your lathe. And the spindle encoder will
allow you to perform tapping operations, and also allows
you to utilize the constant surface speed feature for
superior finishes and extra long tool life. |

for lathes with either stepper motors or damaged servos.
You are still able to reuse the contactors, fuses, and
other miscellaneous components, but you will replace
the entire power supply and motors with brand new components.
The included 2000 line encoders with every motor ensure
improved performance and accuracy over you older setup.
The spindle encoder allows you to take advantage of
our constant surface speed option, which produces exceptional
surface finishes and extended tool life. |
